It is not hard to remove the keyboard if you know the trick. Pull off the knobRemove the two screws holding the polished metal plateWith a bit of finesse you can now slide that plate out. The right side slides in behind the keyboard. Now you see more screws to remove the bar. All this is from memory as I am away just now, but I think it is correct. Both the [N] and [LTRS] keys are stuck down. (I think the [M] was stuck originally, but it seems OK now) There is no [KYBD LOCK] button on this keyboard. Printer & tape reader run fine. Not obvious how to get into the keyboard and I image if you take the top plate off the keyboard, you will have a heck of a time getting all the keys back in!> > Looked at Bul 249 & 1169, but they were not much help. Parts manual (B1169) does not show how keys sit in keyboard cover.> #573-117-702 gives some disassembly instructions, but no diagrams of what they are talking about. (They do reference tho parts manual, but not too helpful if you don't know what you are looking for.)> > I have pulled a chassis from a M28 KSR before. There was a metal cabinet piece across the top of the keyboard that could be removed from inside the cabinet to free the keyboard.> This ASR cabinet seems to only have a release/break of the metal strip above the keyboard on the right side of the keyboard. The metal piece above the keyboard seems to run to the left, around the perf and be solidly connected to the cabinet. Yet this piece must be removed to remove the LAK keyboard & base?> > Can anyone give me some direction?> > Thanks,> > Duncan> K2OEQ> ______________________________________________________________> GreenKeys mailing list> Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/greenkeys> Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm> Post: mailto:GreenKeys at mailman.qth.net> >>>> Jordan Spencer Cunningham's GreenKeys Search Tool: https://teletype.net/gksearch>>>> 2002-to-present greenkeys archive: http://mailman.qth.net/pipermail/greenkeys/>>>> 1998-to-2001 greenkeys archive: http://mailman.qth.net/archive/greenkeys/greenkeys.html>>>> Randy Guttery's 2001-to-2009 GreenKeys Search Tool: http://comcents.com/tty/greenkeyssearch.html> > This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net> Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html> Message delivered to phearvada at gmail.com
