1. tape width: I'm sorry I can't answer your question about the tape width exactly for a few days. I would have to check it, but I am at my son's house for several days. I only have internet access when we are here. I remember 8-level computer tape was 1 inch and pretty sure this tape is a little bit narrower than that. Otherwise I would have swiped computer tape from work.

2. Finding tape: When I bought the set in 1978 there was an almost full reel of tape in the reperforator unit, and I also bought a case of tapes (I think there are 10 reels in the case). I can't remember if I got the case from the seller or from Fred Schmidt (Typetronics). As of today I am still on the reel that was inside the reperforator. I've used about half of it.

Very nice work. And nice video and write up. Makes it easy to understand the issues and solutions. Those Kleinschmidt reperf units look beautiful. I think they use different width paper tape than the teletypes, right? If I'm right, how hard is it to find that width paper tape?
