[GreenKeys] Re-inking

Experience with typewriters suggests a stiff toothbrush works very well for cleaning the type. It will prevent clogging and not damage the type.  I rather think A metal brush, even soft brass, will. If type is clogged a wooden toothpick will fix it.    Acetone attacks many plastics , not good for typewriters.  A better solvent is Naphtha.  I have had consistently good results with Ronsonol.  The solvent can be applied to the type bar hinges with an "acid" brush or an artist's bristle brush.  Note that a  M 15 mechanism is very similar to an Underwood Standard typerwriter so similar cleaning and care should work for both.Sent from my Galaxy
