Hi All,

The St Louis Winterfest (http://www.slsrc.org ) has invited the W9DYV Radio Symposium to hold technical seminars in association with its January 2023 hamfest. The Symposium tech sessions span the range of manufacturer history, homebrewing, equipment restoration, and operating hints/kinks.

Our past presenters have spanned the range of tube to SDR technology. Yet what we haven't had is anyone speak about the fun and challenges associated with 'heavy metal' RTTY Teletype. We here know how rewarding it is to get these mechanical marvels operational and, whenever a friend comes by the shack, they are quickly attracted to these incredible machines.

Winterfest attendance is around 2,500-3,000. Past seminar sessions draw between 45 to 65 people, depending on the topic. So, my question is simply this: Are any of you guys within driving distance of St. Louis/Collinsville interested in making a Teletype presentation? If so, please drop me a note. For an idea of past Symposium presentations, please scope out the material athttp://www.ce-multiphase.com

Winterfest often invites high school robotics clubs to demonstrate their "homebrewed" radio-controlled "bots". A mechanical RTTY demo might bring a bit of inquisitive youth into our somewhat aging hobby.
