Catching up with this thread  Are these special recorders for IBM or Teletype or the audio Kind?I have the remains of a Webster-Chocago audio recorder.  They were popular for a couple of years then completely supplanted by tape . Sent from my Galaxy

Wow, an MT/ST. Those are extraordinarily rare. Like "I've not heard ofany of them surviving in the wild" rare. Also, I think I saw someoneeither on the Classiccmp mailing list or Discord server that waslooking for a magtape Selectric control unit.Of course, the same magtape unit was used with the Magnetic TapeSelectric COmposer, which is an even more rare beast (the SelectricComposer was proportionally spaced, not fixed pitch like a regulartypewriter).Regards,ChristianOn Thu, 18 Aug 2022 at 18:47, E. <hanyou at xsmail.com> wrote:>>> Hey all,>> I’ll hold onto those machines… have already had a few inquiries.  I’ll go through them a bit later — have something going on tonight, so thank you much for the interest!>> I found a photo of that Selectric programmer.  It’s to the right of the typewriter in this article (photo also attached):>> https://www.motherjones.com/kevin-drum/2018/12/the-first-true-word-processor-was-invented-by-ibm/>> The bad thing is that it’s pretty buried in the dumpster and is probably a bit banged up by now.  I think the other end of the programming cable interface is somewhere in the dumpster too.  I’m guessing it’s near the weight of a 19.>>> ______________________________________________________________> GreenKeys mailing list> Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/greenkeys> Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm> Post: mailto:GreenKeys at mailman.qth.net>> >>> Jordan Spencer Cunningham's GreenKeys Search Tool: https://teletype.net/gksearch> >>> 2002-to-present greenkeys archive: http://mailman.qth.net/pipermail/greenkeys/> >>> 1998-to-2001 greenkeys archive: http://mailman.qth.net/archive/greenkeys/greenkeys.html> >>> Randy Guttery's 2001-to-2009 GreenKeys Search Tool: http://comcents.com/tty/greenkeyssearch.html>> This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net> Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html> Message delivered to captainkirk359 at gmail.com-- Christian M.
