Hey Paul - in roughly 2014(?), a local (now regional) internet company started offering 1G down/up fiber to the premises.  I ditched the cable company (Spectrum in our area) and have never looked back.  Since I first got their service in 2015 (I believe that was the year), I’ve only lost my internet around three times for an average of fifteen minutes during each outage -- the longest being 45 minutes.  I despise these national monopoly internet/cable/DSL companies with a passion -_- …..
