[GreenKeys] 1/2" wide tape - what for?

Sheldon and John figured out the proper NSN which eventually led me to the
NSA supply catalog which verified it is indeed 0.5” wide.

It is not listed as teletypewriter perforator tape like our usual stuff,
but as teletypewriter recorder tape, presumably for printing only. The NSA
supply catalog also lists 3/8” recorder tape which several crypto machines
used.  I’m going to ask on the crypto list if anyone recognizes a use for
1/2” tape.
