Wayne,
Sounds like fun mixed with white knuckle terror… ;-)
When I got my 35 home I dissembled it completely to clean it and move it upstairs. While I had it apart I weighed each part. Here is the info for the curious and die-hard fans (in pounds):
TU 20
KBD base with typing perf 42
Base stand with castors 66
Reader 15
LESU with power cord 12
call ctrl 5
Main cover (no acoustic foam) 27
Lid / cover 10
Typing reperf 9
Total: 206

Clay,
Well done!
My back could probably not survive even what you did.
Too much time bending over TTY's over the years. I work on the 32/33's now off the pedestal and on a bench.
Snowmobiling up mountains for 25 years with Vermont Public TV probably contributed to back issues too. It wasnt the ride. It was getting stuck in deep snow and wrestling the machine out to go back down a little and get a head start to get thru the deep place. I counted one time after a big storm and I had to do that 15 times.
WU used to send 3 guys to install a 28 or 35. They said find a "wino" to help and give him $5. LOL. Usually the new customer would have someone to lend a hand.
73 and have fun with the 35.
