Howdy again Greenkeys!
Sorry for going dark. I've been writing code for a startup and haven't had much time to discuss or work on my t1000. Thank you all so much for reading my emails and responding. I ended up taking it apart to try to find the issue and I think I found it...

Again, I apologize for my lack of experience. I'm not a hardware person and the last time I touched a diode I was still in high school playing around with a SOC BASIC interpreter + microprocessor and learning the basics. I also have no idea how I'm going to get this machine back together. Do y'all know what these components are and what I should do to fix it?
I don't have anything really meant to connect to a teletype yet, but I was thinking if I could find some documentation on how they interpret signals I could probably set up some circuits and write some code to connect them to any of my machines for text output from a terminal. Do y'all think that's feasible and worthwhile? If it is I'll start working on it once I have a machine that works, and I'll keep a public github repo and post updates here.
I was also wondering if anyone knew where I could buy a fully functioning ASCII ASR teletype. I was wondering if I should get an ASR-33. Might be a bit of an ask but I'm dying to start playing with these machines. I'm pretty young so I've never actually seen one until I went to that liquidation sale. If you knows someone with a working ASR ASCII tty that they would be willing to sell or a somewhere I could purchase one, or someone near Houston who might be able to teach me a bit, please don't hesitate to reply!
I'm extremely grateful to get the opportunity to connect with this community.
Thank you again, Alice
