[GreenKeys] Model 15 without blank key

I’m a little confused. My blank key strikes onto the paper a blank nothing — in other words, it’s just a blank on that type hammer that gets struck. I saw some others here that said their blank key starts/stops the loop and other that says it locks(?)? I’ve lost track… so my question is, what *does* a blank key do on 15s/19s when pressed? Are some 15s/19s engineered differently when it comes to it???
