    FWIW, it is common to make drawbands from woven bootlaces for 
typewriters. It is possible a typewriter drawband would fit. 
Also, search around for typewriter parts to find eyelets. I don't 
know the purpose of the eyelets in the drawband. They are common 
in typewriter ribbons to operate certain kinds of automatic 
reversal mechanisms. If this eyelet is to hook the drawband to 
the carriage it is likely a different size than the ribbon 
eyelets. I would still search for typewriter parts to find 
something suitable.
