Steve,
A simpler way to disable the motor stop on the TT-98 family was to
readjust the Motor Stop contacts so that they were not moved by the
"Motor-Stop Actuating Lever". See para 2-228 in the -35 manual.
Jim,
On the Kleinschmidt weather printers (TT-99, etc), [FIGS] [BLANK] [H]
was used for Motor stop.
Have fun,
Duncan

On the Kleinschmidt machines that I serviced during my 4 year tour every
one of them and the ones I own, all have a short piece of wire soldered
across the terminals that are the contacts of the motor stop relay. If
you have a Kleinschmidt with the relay, a rectangular can on all the
ones I’ve seen, which is right in front of the main power switch in the
right rear corner of the base. The terminals to the relay are accessible
by removing the bottom cover from the base. I definitely don’t remember
the terminal numbers, but look for a short piece of wire tack soldered
across two terminals. Being tack soldered in place made it easy to
disable or enable as needed.
