[GreenKeys] Questions about disassembly of the 15

This is where you _really_ need to read the (extensive, excellent) documentation before proceeding!

That said, look at the left-end of the carriage and notice what is striking what when you reach the rightward limit..

Rotate that lever away from its current “click stop” position so that it doesn’t impede rightwards progress … et voila!

Subject: [GreenKeys] Questions about disassembly of the 15

Hello,

I'm trying to get my 15 apart for cleaning.

Forgive me if I do not know the proper names for parts (and please correct me so I will learn).

If I press a lever on the left side the carriage rolls freely to the right until it hits a stop.

I saw a video on youtube where "curious Mark" slides the carriage all the way off this way but the video

does not show how he got beyond the stop.

My carriage return strap is broken and has already been removed.

Next question. As I roll the carriage back and forth the fingers that hold the ribbon move up and down

because the bar that runs below and parallel to the rubber roller is bent.

I am guessing this bar is not supposed to be bent and I will need to straiten it?

Thanks,

-Steve Bennett AD8CI
