I was given a TWX model 32 ASR (Thanks Pete). Bringing out the loop took about two weeks. Then some oiling to get it printing correctly. Now I can type all day on it and it is perfect. I can cut a tape (Fox and RY's) then read it and it is perfect. I can reperforate that tape run it out of the reperf right into the tape reader and let it reperforate again and again and read copy of a copy of a copy of a copy. It is perfect. But when I try to print off of the Autostart Autostart channel it goes to the end of the line and beats on the last character.
Does anyone else have this problem with a model 32?
Years ago when I had 14's 15's and a 19 I got into the habit of making my end-of-line "CR, CR, LF, LTRS, LTRS" to give the carriage plenty of time to return. I still do it to this day. Does Autostart use a single CR LF?
On pictures my 32 carriage starts to return and is halted in the middle of the page to start typing again then pounds on the end of the line before doing the same thing again.
By the way, my 28 ASR prints perfectly from Autostart.
I put endless hours of work into this 32 and can't use as intended. Any suggestions woule be appreciated.
