Good morning,
I wish you luck in completing this deal. It's rare one finds a pristine
anything that is 50 years old.
However, I'm afraid you're going to miss out on some of the fun. For
example figuring out why you have no CR. (mouse dropping on the stunt
box where hard to see without removing SB). Or on a different machine
why you get random CR after an N (hopefully a function reset bail
adjustment will fix).
As I sit here reflecting on my success yesterday of getting my ASR to
the point I put the sheet metal back in place, I realized how boring
this would have been if all my orphans had worked perfectly after
unloading them here. Yesterday I learned why so many of the printers
I've seen over the past 50 years didn't have the stamped flat hex head
identification screw any more. It's much harded to get started than the
screw driver slotted one on the other end.
Let us know when you finally get it. Pictures?
