[GreenKeys] More M15 Issues

Just so all are aware, both Nick and I both are in the habit of rotating the motor as we seat the typing unit on the base before installing and tightening the thumbscrews. So we are both convinced this issue of the missing teeth preceded our involvement with this particular machine. Just something we had not noticed beforehand since we weren’t able to power up the machine anyway until I resolved the base wiring issues.

Steve,

That ground off gear has all the earmarks of turning the machine on without it being fully in place. I may be wrong on your problem but you must always turn the motor by hand before putting the printer screws in to make sure the gears are meshed.

Actually this goes for all machines but particularly model 15 and 28's.

Go slow and get advice from these great model 15 guys on GK as you are doing now.
