My 2 cents worth:
Unplug the machine from the wall (with the
temporary jumper removed), Flip power switch to
OFF. Un power any loop supply if connected.
Connect one ohmmeter lead to the point on the
power switch where you had previously connected
one end of the temporary jumper wire. Now using
the other ohmmeter lead go looking for the
terminal, contact etc on the machine that shows 0
ohm continuity to see where the switch wire goes.
Keep going if continuity goes through any
switches, jumpered terminals etc until you find
the open circuit on the way to the below
mentioned motor contact. You should find an open
before you get to the motor,.i.e. no additional
terminal, switch or contact etc showing continuity.

If not obvious where the problem open is, you can
remove the motor, clip one ohmmeter lead to below
mentioned motor contact and start probing for 0
ohm continuity with the other ohmmeter lead as
before. Should lead you to the same area where your previous check stopped. .

Hope this helps.

  >UPDATE: Just placed a temporary jumper from
the power switch, on the switched side, directly
to the motor contact (#16 on the schematic
we’re referring to) on the block under the base
behind the keyboard bay. Flipped

 >the switch to ON and VOILA, THE MOTOR STARTED!
As for a safety cut out to defeat power to motor
when typing unit and/or keyboard are removed, none found. T
