I'm working on a 15 base right now. I was going to say #3, but that was probably caused by #4.
When went to disassemble the 15 to lighten the load the keyboard would only pull out 2". It was wired direct. Somewhere there's a land fill containing the keyboard slip connector set. The send-receive-blank switch was also completely disconnected, but still there.
