(Worked for Collins Radio for a summer way back in the 1980s -- fun people!  I shared an office with a guy who was designing replacement avionics for the MiG 23 jet fighter -- and the cold war was still on.  Turns out that Russia hand sold/donated a batch of them to India, and India wanted to update their avionics to modern standards.)
