[GreenKeys] shockingly basic question - Teletype Model 33 ASR

The 33 print requires two stop bits to provide time to print the character and cycle the function pawls after the 8th bit is received. The printer receives 8 data bits and has no concept of parity. The 8th bit is ignored for all print operations, however, the 8th bit does punch on the paper tape.
For the keyboard, there is a parity version and no-parity version. The no-parity keyboard is 8N2, the parity version is 7E2 by default, but can be set for 8N2 where the 8th bit can be forced to space or to mark.

Hello folks, I use the excellent Mike Douglas (deramp) RS232-Model 33 converter on both my two 33s for a good while now. Typically connecting to Linux using some old Keyspan Serial-USB hubs, with my set up being 7E2/110.
I've been tinkering around with some old Equinox ELS-16 Terminal servers (which are nice because they support 110 baud), but they seem to prefer 8N1 despite sporadic "spelling errors" (for example, Es sometimes become As, etc.)
Anyway my question is - are the Teletype 33s physically "configurable" in terms of stop bits and parity? Is there a simple way for me to check?
Searching the interwebs I've found people talking about their Teletypes configured to run at the host end as 7E2, and some at 8N1.
Thanks for any help! Andy
