[GreenKeys] What ever happened to "Pot Cores"?

I have a vague memory of Pot Cores being mentioned for RTTY TUs back around 
the time the DT-600 was getting a lot of attention. 

I guess they were more stable than toroids, if that is possible, and perhaps tuning 
them was easier? Never saw one nor any specs about them, nor where they could 
be obtained. 

Any one else recognize this component name? 

Just curious.
