Is an episode of the "Mission Impossible" TV series that I've been a big
fan of since the 60s.    A Teletype machine played an important role in
an episode last night called "The Money Machine", when tech guru Barney
Collier patched it into a financial news circuit and  sent fake
information as part of the MI plan involving a computerized machine that
prints counterfeit money:

The teletype machine is brought in with the housing removed, which is
then assembled and prepared by team members.     It looked like a 28KSR
to me, and Barney did appear to type the message very smoothly by hand
rather than sending a tape (which was obviously done for filming).

I couldn't decide which is more impressive:  that Barney always knows
just where to put those alligator clips, or that the writers were able
to envision ink-jet printing decades before it was a reality (loading
the machine with liquid red, green, blue, and black inks).
