Fascinating. Too bad there is not a setting to run it at
silent speed.
At Fox Television I remember we had a project of transferring
Movietone News to digital tape. Fox had the complete archives of
Movietone News. It was one of the two largest newsreels (the
other was the Paramount News). Most of the stuff was shot with
sound, often just natural sound. Fox did all sorts of projects to
record whatever what going on. I don't think anyone in Fox
management really had any appreciation of what they had. The
outtakes are often more interesting than the scenes used in the
newsreel releases.
Many do not realize that Fox Film was a pioneer in sound
recording. Fox formed a partnership with Theodore Case, to form
Fox-Case Movietone.  It was an early pioneer of sound on film, as
opposed to the sound on disc used by Warner Brothers/Western
Electric Vitaphone. Fox called System Movietone. It made use of a
glow tube called an Aeolite (not A E O lite as it is sometimes
called). They were having considerable success until Western
Electric decided they were too much competition and pulled their
patent licenses. Fox then had to buy a Western Electric license
and goodby Movietone although the trade name remained.
It is a matter of luck and happenstance that the WE/Warner
project became successful when it did. Sound on film is really a
better method and was the one eventually adopted by the industry.
At its height Movietone News released three editions a week,
a lot of work. Some, of course was staged but mostly what was
filmed was real. A fair amount of the outtakes are on You Tube.
