I had JJ Short Associates restore the platen of my 15.  They did a fine job.  I think extracting the 15 platen would be a lot easier than getting one out of my 33...

Consider having the platen remade entirely by someone like Terry's Rubber

Rollers in Michigan.  email him first to make sure he can re-manufacture
