Thanks for this Duncan. I've recently added a pass-through mode to my loop interface board and this is a great example of a case in which 5-bit pass-through operation is useful. I actually got my wife to pay attention for 15 seconds to listen :)

Back in 1967, RTTY Journal published the code to play "Jingle Bells" on
a teletypewriter.
