Subject: [GreenKeys] David Hughes printing telegraph 1856 - AWA Review now on line

David Edward Hughes (1830-1900) patented a printing telegraph in 1856 and his machines were used around the world up until about 1940. he also sent wireless signals over 500 yards in 1879.

Since 1986 the/AWA Review/ has been *the* authoritative source of peer reviewed, well documented, articles on electronic communication history.
Previously, only available to AWA Members.

With the goal of making this research more widely available, the Antique Wireless Association Board of Trustees recently decided to make most back issues of the /AWA Review/ available on line. The last 2 years of the /Review /will not be available on line, but AWA members will continue to receive the annual print edition, which on its own is worth the price of an AWA membership <https://www.antiquewireless.org/homepage/membership/>.

The Master Index to the /AWA Review/ is here:

The individual issues of the /Review/ are here:

You can read about David Edward Hughes in the 2009 edition (vol 22) of the/AWA Review/.

Have fun,
