[GreenKeys] TT-7/FG Restoration

Problem solved - All a matter of leverage. A 12 inch adjustable wrench on the main gear hub,
handle resting on the frame and an extra-long long-nosed pliers with hooked jaws to grasp
the rim of the clutch plate. Applied clockwise torque to pliers and the clutch plate came loose
just like it is supposed to.
After 50+ years of storage, the mainshaft bearing grease is still greasy.
Thanks for suggestions.

Pardon the last message with no body.
So far I have the base cleaned up pretty nicely. I have been cleaning
the typing unit but have run into a snag. I need to pull the mainshaft
to uncrudify the bearings, etc. However, the outer selector-cam
clutch plate won't budge (turning clockwise). I can't keep the mainshaft
from turning when I try to unscrew the clutch plate. I don't want to break
anything. Will heat help? Kroil? Vice-grips? How do I keep the mainshaft from
turning?
Thanks,
Bill
