[GreenKeys] Optimistic but clueless seller

For those that want to get to old rigs working just for the fun of it( Just like many here enjoy playing with the old teletype machines) and many other crystals cut for certain frequencies the cost to have them made will be from about $ 50 to $ 100 each.

The recipe is not lost, it is many makers that have gone out of business.   Because there is almost no need for many crystals cut for 2 meters each has to be specially made other than hundreds like days of old.

 

Because most have stopped using special cut crystals and just use a synthesizer many companies are out of business. No need for thousands when one will do it.

Why are 2m crystals so cherished?  Have we lost the recipe to make them?

 

We stopped using crystals years ago at work. The silicon synthesizers are smaller, just about zilch jitter/noise, and you can dial in any frequency you want.
