John Barber, GW4SKA, Awards Manager for BARTG, passed this email onto
me. If there are any GKers out there in the UK who are interested in
this hoard of parts, please get in touch with the sender, John Buswell.

Subject: Old Teleprinter Parts
I'm looking to see if these old teleprinter parts may be of interest to
you or your members? I believe there were about 10-15 old teleprinters
used in the railway and/or telephone industry in the UK, these were
stripped down at some point in the 1990s. The parts are located in West
Lothian in Scotland. There are a LOT of parts. I've attached some photos
to give you an idea of what is there.
While searching the Internet, I came across RTTY and that some folks
were printing things using teleprinters, so I thought the parts may be
of use to you. There are some circuit boards as well related to these.
I'm pretty sure when these were assembled they were quite large and had
a mechanism for accepting punched tape.
If these aren't of use to you, if you have any suggestions to anyone who
may be interested in teleprinter parts let me know. I reached out to
several museums, but none have working teleprinter exhibits, just static
ones and are not interested in the parts.
Thanks
John
