Do a youtube search on "retrobrite". Lots of
videos concerning restoring vintage computer
stuff.

I think the process works best on plastics that
were white to begin with. I tried the process on
an old Motorola Motrac microphone, which originally
was a very light brown(driftwood), and found
that it got the plastic close, but not perfect.
But then I let it go too long, and it came out
a much lighter shade than original.

There was a document on the internet a while
ago that described the process using hydrogen
peroxide and Oxyclean, which also explained the
chemistry, but I don't have the reference
anymore.
