[GreenKeys] Flesher TU-170

A recent posting of another one of these on the 'bay reminds me I still haven't figured out what the added switch to the left of the meter is supposed to do.  The manual doesn't show this switch.  Every picture I find shows the extra switch, but different types.  Was this a mod covered perhaps by RTTY journal?  I only just now thought about searching there.
