Just for fun, I participated in the JARTS RTTY contest this past weekend using the N1MM logger program. I have some interesting factoids:

I made 160 QSOs with operating time as allowed (not really a whole lot of time) - 38 states, 5 Canada provinces, 10 other countries. Propagation was pretty good. Most of the time, if a signal was strong enough to print I made a good QSO. A lot of signals were lower than 10dB SNR and unprintable. (MMTTY RTTY engine, Flex 6400M, Elecraft KPA500 running about 400 watts, NVIS G5RV.)

The contest exchange was operator age, so I did some counting. The operators were mostly of our age group:
