[GreenKeys] FAA Teletypewriter Network 1959

I used to maintain an Alden weather fax machine at an FAA flight service
station in the early 1970s. They had a lot of Teletypes and paper tape
stuff. I remember them doing weather observations, punching a tape,
putting it in a reader, then, a while later, the tape would be polled and
transmitted.

All those circuit miles are interesting. I wonder if they ran DC loops out
to the FSS or if they ran modems. Also, they must have had an interesting
switching system to get data where it was supposed to go.
