It's the Tele-Cat! Soon he'll be typing seasonal messages via NORAD as they follow Santa. 

With booted paws he can oil the machine. His melodious "mew-mew" will accompany the end of line bell. 

And when the line goes quiet he can nap on the pleasantly warm line supply.
