No, they just bought the answerback mechanism which would directly fit
the M19 keyboard.

No, it is quite easy to re-program. Every bit pin is held under a
spring which is
turned around the drum. You might need a little hook to lift it and then put the
bit pin under it.

It has become common to re-use the old original Telex number of the
certain machines
as an historical heritage also in the i-Telex network.
