There is another way to address a "basket case" (type basket, that is...)
like
you have. It does involve changing the fractions key caps with the comm key
caps
(no fractions) and the type pallets (the part of the little whacking arm
that has the type-
called the type pallet) or hammers with the correct type pallets. One
involves the careful art of soldering the pallet to the hammer, and the
other calls for the artful replacement of the whole dang hammer itself. Or,
if you can find one- a "comm" type basket. Mr. RTTY does have the hammers
and pallets, but baskets? not sure. Might be easier to redo your current
basket and gain several mastery levels in Teletype Wizardry. No longer will
you fellowship with the brown and grey practitioners. You shall be like
Gandalf- of the White and Wise.

Me? I'll just continue to lurk and occasionally intone "Mine
preciousssss... " in a raspy voice.
