Yes, Hubbell has always been quite proud of their extensive product line.
However:
Given a Large Factory that you help maintain electrically, making 10,000
widgets per hour, two shifts, 18 hours a day, 6 days a week.
Machine XYZ-1 is noted in the logs as having a "loose plug". It's
3-phase, 440, 30 A.
The Hubbell replacement is about $100. You find one 'second source'
(coughcoughchinacough) and it's only $35! Score!
2 weeks later, at 10:30PM on a Friday night, that plug fails and burns
under normal load, taking the outlet with it and crippling the factory.
You get the "911!!" call. It takes 3 hours of frantic calling to locate
another plug, and an hour to repair the damage. Now it's 2:30AM on
Saturday morning and the factory is forced into overtime to make up the
shortfall.
Monday you are invited to have a pleasant chat with your Boss and the
Production Manager about just how much money you 'saved'.
Disclaimer: I've not had this exact experience myself, but I've been
right next to it when it happened. Sorta like the kid behind you in
school getting sent to the Principal's Office. Whew!!
Sometimes it's expensive to be cheap...
