Hi All,
I received my new stop arm from Paul (Mr RTTY) and installed it.
I found an arm (spacing drip feed pawl release link) that was moving sluggishly. I cleaned it up better and relubricated it. The “LOC LF” key works fine now.
The unit runs open sometimes when in local mode. Sometimes it doesn’t. depressing a key has a click to it and will occasionally cause the character to print, sometimes delayed.
I found two transfer levers that are a little sticky. Pic attached with arrow pointing to two sticky levers. I also found a felt lubricator was a little torn and may be causing them to bind (second pic). I managed to pull it out, but the levers still bind a little. Could this be why it runs open sometimes and sometimes will print a character when a key is depressed, or am i barking up the wrong teletype er tree.
Thanks again!
73,
Carol, K1CSF
