The simplex frequencies around 145 MHz have been used for packet.  With 
the discussion of 2m RTTY, I have wondered if these would be suitable 
places to try.  It looks like it has worked out for your group.

The frequencies of interest are 144.910, .930, .950, .970, .990, 
145.010, .030, .050, .070, .090.  145.010 has been the primary channel 
for packet.  (Also, APRS packet on 144.390.  That would be one to 
avoid.)  Does anyone know of other uses of these frequencies?
