Paul,
Thanks for posting! My wife and I visited there 5 years ago (for our 20th
wedding anniversary!). Pt. Reyes Station is the control point and the
receive site. The transmitter site is in Bolinas CA. I have photos of both
at https://mai.hallikainen.org/org/gallery/main.php?g2_itemId=34176 .
They run multichannel AFSK between the sites to key the transmitters.
Originally it was done over a leased line. They now dial up a connection
on Saturdays. Also, there was a Morse order wire between the sites. The
order wire used Continental Morse, while the radio used International
Morse.
It's really a great place. We got to have breakfast with the crew at the
Bolinas transmitter site. We ate off official RCA plates.
