Then there's the story of the GI enlisted from Wisconsin and having his
first experience with grits in the chow line. After putting milk and
sugar on it he was suddenly aware "this ain't Cream of Wheat" and it's
not so good to eat.
After living in Texas now for close to 40 years I've "learnt" how to
properly eat grits.
