I'm not old enough to remember Lucky Strike in a green package, but I do
remember older people saying things like "I haven't seen that since
Lucky Strike was in a green package!" and I did see a package once
because of a WW-II era building having some partitions removed and the
workers found an empty package inside one of the walls.
