[GreenKeys] Nye or other oil?

Kano Microil works quite well for many things.
Very find oil is put up by the major oil companies as "turbine
oil". I suspect Kano Microil is repackaged light turbine oil.
I am not enthusiastic about using engine oil. Engine oils
have additives to maintain viscosity over a wide range of
temperature, they also have detergents and some have pressure
resisting additives although not as much as EP or Hypoid grease.
These can cause gumming and the detergents may not work at room
temperatures. However, many have had good results with synthetic
engine oil. Transmission oil is different stuff, perhaps a better
general purpose lubricant than motor oil. I did some research on
it but was not able to find out much.
