[GreenKeys] Nye or other oil?

For well over 45 years now I've been using ATF (auto tranny fluid) as a light
oil for old teletypes. Mostly m15's and m19's. IMO its a nearly ideal light
oil. It doesn't evaporate, leaving thick crud. It also has a tendency to dissolve
old oils that did dry up. And best of all its cheap. 

Would this work well for machines that are used 24/7? Don't know but can say
for our uses (hobbyists) it works fine.
