Nick - thanx for posting that. It was fascinating!

That was from 1956 and I was amazed at the technology that had!

One day, while looking through the stuff at a surplus store, we
came upon some desk fax's - the exact same as was in the movie.
They were only $5.00 so we bought each bought one. When we got to
my place, we hooked them together and sent fax's back and forth.
They worked fine.

At night, when 15 Meters was dead we'd send fax's back and forth.
(Amateur radio operators were NOT permitted to run fax in those days).

One shocking note is at the end when they say there were 150,000,000
Americans. In less than 60 years that number has doubled!
