[GreenKeys] Zee vs. Zed

Depends on the American. A local ham friend has a Z in his call and he
says it "Zed," as do most of the other locals who know him and speak
on-air with him.

For the last ten years or so of my teaching career I was working with
refugees now to this country from from all over the world who were
learning English as well as the math I was teaching them, and many of
those students came from former British colonies/protectorates/etc. and
would say "Zed" and I did, too, to not further confuse things for them.

At my annual eye doctor exam one time, being asked to read the letters
on the eye chart there was a Z or two and I read them aloud as "zed,"
which raised a comment from the technician.

FWIW, YMMV.
