I haven't had that much to report lately; I haven't had time to do much
more work on the machine.  I have started stripping old paint off the
cabinet and thought I would share this picture.  I decided to try a
product called CitriStrip.  As the name implies, it is a citrus-based
product.  It can be found in spray cans or in gel form that can be
brushed on.  My wife had used it on the metal frame of a glider she was
restoring.  I first tried it on the TD cover and it worked well so I
decided to start with the back of the cabinet.  I have found it is best
to spray or brush on a thick coat and then let it stand for several
hours; overnight is probably best.  I tried a small paint roller to
apply the first coat of the gel on the back and that did not work so
well so this morning I sprayed on another coat since I had quite a bit
left in a can.  This evening I began removing the old paint.  It is
coming off almost like plastic wrap leaving the nearly bare metal
beneath.  It is pretty amazing.
