[GreenKeys] excessive line feed suppression

Irv wrote several articles in RTTY Journal on stuntbox modifications.
I don't remember if he wrote up the one you are talking about, and
I no longer remember the details of how it worked.

One of his articles was about disabling the blankety-blank keyboard
lock, and disabling the motor stop on FIGS-H (or was it FIGS-BLANK-H?)
I think another one was about installing the automatic carriage return
and line feed parts. That was a desirable feature to have on any
machine being used in radio work, since a missed CR or LF would obliterate
a whole line of print.

The one you are talking about was a result of the 80 meter autostart net
that operated on the West Coast. Some of the participants objected to the
way Irv tended to monopolize use of the frequency by his long-winded
transmissions. So some joker called up Irv's machine and sent it a whole
bunch of line feeds to spew the paper all over the floor.

The defense was to have the auto CR-LF parts installed, then to make some
other changes in the stunt box. One removed the LF function bar and
substituted a CR function bar, so that a single CR would cause both
CR and LF and LFs would be ignored. Then there was some arrangement to
block multiple CRs from causing multiple LFs.
