Hello, you may remember I was seeking a paper tape punch recently. I
purchased a FANUC PPR portable paper tape punch and reader. Here is a
picture of one.

These were manufacured in the 80s through to the early 90s.
I see that it has grease on the metal joints, but it seems like light
machine oil like starrett oil is recommended for machines like this.
I figured you guys would be the best experts I know of with this type of
mechanism. There is no known record of what type of lubricant to use, so
how would I decide on oil vs grease after cleaning? I already cleaned and
oiled the punch pins and it works well after reassembling, but I plan to
replace a pin that broke once I receive a replacement pin and can use that
opportunity to put a new lube on them.
Thank you!
-Eric
