And 75 WPM was a standard speed for a 15, but definitely not 100. It was
used in WW-II at 100 in a limited way, where the need for traffic volume
outweighed the extra maintenance required. And there was a special kit
of parts for the purpose, I think mostly involving stiffer springs.
The M28 was designed for 100 wpm from the beginning. In the 1950s the
FAA experimented with running 15s at 100 wpm and decided they were better
off buying 28s.
